Wow what a surprise to see this!

Canadian National Railway locomotives 4810 (GP38-2W), 8907 (SD70M-2), 2247 (ES44DC), and 2167 (ex ASTF/BNSF C40-8W) provide traction for a long CN intermodal stack train Q120 (Toronto BIT, ON to Rockingham/Halifax, NS) with 130 cars (410 axles) of mixed freight and double stack containers passes eastbound near Fall River, NS on the approach to Windsor Junction.

The train with this unusual power consist was also seen approaching Rockingham Yard.

The GP38-2W was added to the train at Moncton because the 8907 failed between Edmundston and Moncton. It was neat to see but it was a rough trip for the train crew with less horsepower and no dynamic breaks. Love the horn on this one too.

Filmed at 11:38am, Wednesday September 30, 2015 at mile 17.24 of the CN Bedford Subdivision.

Sorry the caption says GP40-2W, but 4810 is in fact a GP38-2W.
