Iowa family found dead in Mexico
An Iowa family of four on vacation in Mexican seaside resort was found dead inside a condominium, but foul play was not suspected, authorities and a family member said on Friday.

An Iowa family of four was found dead inside a condo in Akumal, Mexico- a small coastal resort about an hour south of Cancun.
But local authorities and a family member said on Friday-- that there were no signs of violence or foul play.
After 41- year old Kevin Sharp, his wife Amy, and their children did not return as planned from their week-long vacation - family members in Creston Iowa went to the police.
SOUNDBITE: PAUL VERMEER, CRESTON POLICE CHIEF SAYING: "They wanted to file a missing persons report since they were supposed to go to a basketball game in Indiana and never made it."
Mexican authorities are investigating what went wrong- with some speculating there could have been a gas leak in the condo.

Although Mexican tourism officials are portraying the deaths as an isolated incident--the tragedy does raise concerns about the overall safety of tourists in Mexico--with an estimated 20 million Americans visiting Mexico last year.
