Election 'silver lining': the Democrats 'didn't win the Senate'
Sky News host Paul Murray says even if Joe Biden wins the presidency, the silver lining is he did not win the Senate so during his first two years, he won’t be able to implement "the worst of the agenda".
“Biden in the first two years will not be able to stack the court, not be able to increase the taxes, not be able to do the worst of the agenda,” Mr Murray said.
“It’s not insignificant that he’s going to be the president, but he’s not going to win the senate.”
Mr Murray showed a clip of Fox News host Tucker Carlson who said, “If Democrats had won the White House and the Senate last night, the country would have ended as we know it”.
“The Democrats’ plan to impose an entirely new system on our country, not an agenda, a system,” Mr Carlson said.
“With nothing to check their power, the left fully intended to eliminate the traditional American balances within our government, along with the constitution and the bill of rights which constrain their power.”
